মৎস্য সুরক্ষা ও সংরক্ষণ আইন, ১৯৫০ অনুযায়ী বেহুন্দি জাল, চরগড়া জাল, কারেন্ট জাল, ঘোপ জাল এবং খুটা জাল ব্যবহার সম্পূর্ণরূপে নিষিদ্ধ ও দন্ডনীয় অপরাধ।

Future Plan

Barguna District Fisheries Department's Future Plan:

1. To create alternative employment opportunities for improving the quality of life of fishermen and to increase food aid, and increase the number of fishermen holding VGF card.

2. Arrangement of loan for easy fishing to purchase mechanical boats for fishing in the sea.

3. For the maintenance of Hilsa fish, (a) establishment of Hilsa Ashram, b) setting up of ice factory and (c) establishing cold storage.

4. Enhance financial allocation for the implementation of the law of preservation of fish and make necessary arrangements for allocation of a speed boat in every upazila.
